Barnwell School District 45 Administrator Mike Beasley was recently recognized for completing fifteen years of service as a statewide leader of the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association of South Carolina (SCACA). SCACA is a statewide organization with over 6,000 members across the state with the mission to promote, protect and teach the student-athletes of South Carolina through effective leadership and professional development of coaches.

In 2018, the SCACA Board of Directors selected Beasley to serve as their representative on the South Carolina High School League’s (SCHSL) Executive Committee for a 4-year term lasting from 2018 to 2022. Beyond his service as the SCACA’s representative on the SCHSL Executive Committee, Beasley has also served as a board member and served as the state organization’s President for the 2013-2014 school year.

During his most recent term on the SCHSL Executive Committee, Beasley worked to execute the powers and duties that fall to that statewide governing body, including deciding all questions and performing duties not delegated in the constitution of the SCHSL and hearing appeals from school districts regarding athletic protests.

According to Beasley, “My experience throughout my service to the South Carolina Coaches Association and as the representative of the South Carolina High School League has been invaluable and rewarding.” Barnwell School District 45 commends Mike Beasley not only on his service to the district itself, but also his service regionally and statewide. According to Superintendent Stapleton, “Mike Beasley is such a valuable part of our district family, and he has so much knowledge in so many areas. We are so proud of his commitment to education within our state and commend him on his strong leadership and long tenure of service to both the SCACA and the SCHSL.”
