Patterson Street in Allendale was the scene of a shooting on August 12.
On Saturday morning, August 12, the Allendale Police Department announced in a Facebook post that the night before they had detained a 13-year-old boy in connection to a shots fired call.
According to the post, the boy was found in possession of a firearm and was one of two suspects; he was later taken to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Barnwell.
Allendale Police Chief Lawrence Wiggins did not respond to The People-Sentinel’s request for an interview before its deadline.
