On April 19, 2023, Kaitlyn Simmons, a senior at Williston-Elko High School, participated in the 7th annual STEM Signing Day at the University of South Carolina Alumni Center.
STEM Signing Day is similar to college signing day for student-athletes and recognizes students who plan to pursue a degree in science, technology, engineering, or math.
Kaitlyn plans to attend a four-year college and major in Biological Sciences. She has always enjoyed helping others, especially children, and is looking forward to her future career as a pediatrician.
