Madison Doughtie
Madison Doughtie, an eleventh grader at Barnwell High School, represented her school at the Region Two Band Clinic held Feb. 17-18 at Lexington High School.
She was the only Barnwell County student to attend this prestigious clinic. She was accepted into the senior band after auditioning in January.
"I am extremely proud of her hard work and I can't think of a better student to represent the Barnwell District 45 band program than her," said Barnwell High School band director Dawn Vickery.
The two-day clinic ended with a concert performed for friends and family.
This was the fourth year that Doughtie, who plays clarinet, represented her school at Region Band.
She is the daughter of Ross and Shannon Doughtie of Barnwell.
