21-year-old Jasmine Roach was pronounced dead on October 15 after being fatally shot at a gathering on Quail Road in Barnwell.
Roach is from the Montmorenci area and was four months pregnant at the time of her death.
She was transported to Bamberg-Barnwell Emergency Medical Center following the shooting. Her death was determined to be a homicide caused by a gunshot wound after an autopsy was performed on Oct. 17 by Barnwell County Coroner Denise Gibson.
Six individuals in total were injured by gunshots. Five were treated and released from area hospitals.
The S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is currently assisting local law enforcement in this investigation.
