As part of their annual mission to support the community, Crane in Williston donated $5,000 to the Barnwell County Family YMCA.
Chantsie Pickelsimer, director of the Barnwell YMCA, said she is appreciative of the support of local companies like Crane. This donation isn't earmarked for one project in particular, but will be used to support their annual campaign. This is used to continue their mission of supporting the community.
"We are grateful to Crane for the support. We hope to build on this and do more outreach in the community," said Craig Miracle, district vice president of the Family Y of Greater Augusta, which is over the Barnwell branch.
Greg Williams, a supervisor at Crane's Williston facility, said the company is always happy to help the community that supports them. In addition to donating money to various organizations, such as the YMCA, Crane's employees volunteer, including at the Barnwell Community Soup Kitchen each month.
