ALLENDALE - Charles Willis Elkins, age 82, husband of Ruth Gray Elkins, died Friday, September 13, 2024.
Mr. Elkins was a native of Allendale, South Carolina, and a son of the late Charlie W. and Gladys Wilson Elkins. He was a retired insurance agent for Life of Georgia Insurance Company and retired from Collum’s Lumber Mill. He was a member of Mt. Arnon Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Mt. Arnon Baptist Church cemetery with Deanie Hutto officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 17, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Keith Smith Funeral Service, Allendale, South Carolina.
Family members include his wife, Ruth G. Elkins; 3 daughters, Sharon E. Vuknic (Eddie), Teresa E. Hutto (Gregg), and Michelle E. Cope (Pat); 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 1 brother, Jeff Elkins; a special cousin, Pat Dedmon Terry. He was predeceased by one brother, Donald Elkins.
