BARNWELL - Graveside funeral services for Carolyn Creech Hutto, 80, of Barnwell, S.C. will be held at 11 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Hilda First Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverends Anthony Taylor and Chris Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery on Wednesday.

Carolyn passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Born in Barnwell County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late James Ulmer Creech and Dorothy Dyches Creech and was married to the late Glenn Hutto. She was a graduate of Blackville High School and was a member of Hilda First Baptist Church where she served on a number of church committees. She retired after working 34 years as a clerk at the Barnwell County Public School District. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. 

Survivors include sons, Bruce Stanley Hutto and Daniel Eric Hutto, both of Barnwell, S.C.; grandchildren, Kristen Alyson (Jerremy) Hadley and Grace Caroline Hutto; great-grandchildren, Laycee Hadley, Makayla Hadley and Hayley Hadley; sisters, Emily Ann Odom of Piedmont, S.C., Sylvia Jean (Tim) Hickman of Mt. Holley, N.C. and Gloria Peeples of Anderson, S.C.; brothers, Ulmer (Mary) Creech Jr. of Barnwell, S.C. and Jerry Roger (Peggy) Creech of Barnwell, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Ann Creech of Florence, Rose Marie (Marion) Richardson of Barnwell, S.C. and Nancy Ann Zorn of Barnwell, S.C.; a friend of the family, Burnette Black and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Glen Hutto, she was preceded in death by her sons, Barry Glenn Hutto and Bradley Scott Hutto; and a brother, Albert Gross Creech.
