Nicholas Jones will represent Barnwell High School at a Law and Advocacy Summer Program with the National Student Leadership Conference.

NSLC is held at 12 of the nation’s top universities during the summer. Jones will attend a nine-day program at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

“For over 30 years, a select group of student leaders have come to the NSLC for a unique experience, diving into one of 30 exciting, hands-on professional career programs. Whether your dream is to become a diplomat, advocate for your client in the Supreme Court, or even run for President of the United States, we provide the chance to explore your passions. In each of our programs, you will live and learn on a college campus, interacting with your peers from across the U.S. and around the world,” according to Rick Duffy, chairman of NSLC, in a letter to Jones.

Upon completion of the program, Jones will receive a letter of recommendation, academic transcript, and a certificate of achievement. He also can earn college credit from The American University.

“Please support him as he represents our community,” said Nick’s mom, Rebecca Jones.
