The South Carolina State Fair returns to Columbia from Oct. 9-20.
The annual event will be a mix of tradition and innovation — featuring cherished fair classics, as well as more than a dozen new foods and drinks and two new captivating attractions.
The theme for the 2024 South Carolina State Fair is "46 Reasons to Celebrate South Carolina," honoring the state's 46 counties. In line with the theme, fairgoers can explore two exciting new attractions: the South Carolina Grown Marketplace and the 46 Reasons to Celebrate exhibit featuring a display for each county, including one for Barnwell County.
"Discover the heart and soul of South Carolina and embark on a captivating journey through the state’s counties, each with its own unique story to tell. Uncover the rich history, vibrant culture, and natural beauty of every corner of the Palmetto State through displays dedicated to each county," states the website.
