The Bands of Barnwell County placed fourth in their division at the marching band competition at River Bluff High School in Lexington on Saturday, October 5.
The theme for the show is "Romeo and Juliet" and includes three songs.
"Saturday was just wonderful, and it was nice to see our hard work pay off with a fourth place finish. I am so proud of their focus and determination to succeed this week," said head band director Jessica Pym of the band, which includes students from across the county's public high schools.
The band will compete this Saturday, October 12 at North Augusta High School before competing at state finals on Saturday, October 19.
