BLACKVILLE - Funeral services for Richard Arthur Muns, 92, of Blackville, will be held at 2 o’clock p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. David Turner, Rev. Charles Morris and Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday; burial will follow in the Blackville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Organ, Piano, or Nursery Fund, P.O. Box 304, Elko, S.C. 29826.

Mr. Richard passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Born in Old Ellenton, he was a son of the late Jobie Muns and Pauline Williams Muns and was married to the late Annette Owens Muns. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and retired from the Maintenance Department of Barnwell School District #45. He was a member of the Woodman of the World, Barnwell, and he loved to farm.

Survivors include his daughter, Doris Lee Muns (David) Ussery of Williston; sons, Dennis Roy Muns and Richard “Herbie” (Debbie) Muns, all of Blackville; granddaughter, Kimberly Ann (Russell) Kanagy; and two great-grandchildren, Owen A. and Callie Kanagy; and a longtime friend, Viola Inman.

In addition to his wife, Annette Muns, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Ann Muns, and a brother, Fred Muns.
