Who will be on the November 7 municipal election ballot?

Filing is closed and the slate of municipal candidates for Nov. 7 is finalized.

Here’s a look at the council and mayoral seats that will be on the ballot for the municipalities of Barnwell, Blackville, Elko, Hilda, Kline, Snelling, and Williston:

City of Barnwell: Mayor Marcus Rivera and District #1 Councilman Ron Still filed for the mayor's seat. For city council District #2, incumbent Peggy Kinlaw is the lone candidate. For District #4, incumbent Jimbo Moody is being challenged by Wanda L. Highsmith. Over in District #6, incumbent Ryan T. Bragg is being challenged by Jana Black Myers.

Town of Blackville: Only current mayor Ronnie Pernell filed for his seat. For the three council seats, only incumbents Kelvin A. Isaac, M. Ann Pernell, and Frenchie D. Smalls filed.

Town of Elko: Mayor Toby Singletary is the only candidate for his seat. For the two town council seats, incumbent Curtis Young and Steve Terry have filed. Councilman Leonard Mills did not seek re-election as he's retiring after 50 years.

Town of Hilda: Councilwoman April N. Hutto has filed for mayor after current Mayor John Moody did not file for re-election. For the two town council seats, incumbents Allison Still Beasley and C. Guy Neal have filed.

Town of Kline: Mayor William H. Cave is the only candidate for mayor. For the two town council seats, only incumbent Rodger D. Arnold filed. Incumbent Milton Harden did not file.

Town of Snelling: Incumbent Wiley Moore and newcomer Neal Morris filed for the two council seats. Councilman Bobby Morris did not seek re-election

Town of Williston: Five candidates are vying for three town council seats. Candidates are incumbent Alyson Collins along with newcomers Ken Beatty, John Jerkins Jr., Judy Myrick Taylor, and Greg Walkup. Council members Adadra Neville and Scott Valentine did not seek re-election.

The early voting period for these elections begins on Monday, October 23 and ends Friday, November 3.
