Grandparents' Game Night extra special for Barnwell Primary School principal

Students aren't the only ones who enjoy having their grandparents at Grandparents Day school celebrations.

Barnwell Primary School Principal Jared Thrasher loved having his 94-year-old grandmother, Geraldine Thrasher of Anderson, join him at his school's Grandparents' Game Night on Sept. 19. The celebration was held two days after her 94th birthday.

"It was great to have her and all of the other grandparents there with us for this event. My own Nana was vital to my education while I was growing up, from reading with me to helping with homework. It is such a blessing for our BPS students to have their grandparents and family members who are also willing to invest in their grandchildren's education as well," said Thrasher.

This was truly a touching celebration of family and education!
