Town of Blackville under boil water advisory

Posted

The Town of Blackville advises the residents of Blackville to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
"A loss of pressure occurred in the system," according to a press release issued Dec. 27.
Bacteriological samples will be collected from the drinking water system serving the town. Once the samples indicate that the water system is not contaminated, the boil water notice will be lifted. "Residents should continue to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by the Town of Blackville. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes," states the release.
If you should have any questions concerning this notice, you may call the Blackville Town Hall.
