LEXINGTON - Thomas "Tommy" R. Higgs, age 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at home in Lexington, S.C.
He was born September 19, 1952, in Albany, Ga. Tommy was a devoted husband and father. He spent many years of his career working in public service, including for several years as administrator for the City of Barnwell. He enjoyed his retirement with his family.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Pam Higgs; his children, Thomas Higgs (Meredith) and Katie Barlet (Josh); his grandchildren, TJ, Evelyn, Aiden and Theodore; and his brother Shane Higgs. He is predeceased by his mother, Nan Higgs; his father, Maynard Higgs; his brother, Jim Higgs; his son, Travis Higgs; and his grandson, Victor Higgs.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. on June 20, 2024, at The Beulah Methodist Church in Gilbert, S.C. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 161 Beulah Church Road, Gilbert, S.C. 29054.
