WILLISTON - Funeral services for Parker O’Neal Chavis, 53, of Williston, S.C. will be held at two o’clock p.m., Monday, October 7, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Williston, S.C. with the Reverend Joseph Sanders officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family received friends from four to six p.m. on Sunday, October 6th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, S.C. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Eddie Chavis, Jordan Chavis, Jacob Chavis, Allen Chavis, Artie Jones, Scotty Chavis and Joshua Chavis.

Parker passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024,

Born in Aiken County, S.C., he was a son of O’Neal Chavis and the late Beverly Hancock Chavis. He was a 1989 graduate of South Aiken High School and was owner/operator of PC Masonry. Parker started laying brick for his dad, O’Neal Chavis at a very young age. He was a brick mason artist and continued working with his dad until he went into a 20-year career in law enforcement. He retired from the Barnwell County Sheriff’s office in 2020, then worked full time in his business, PC Masonry. He was a hobbyist, an avid fisherman and outdoorsman as well as a loving father, husband and son. Parker could do anything and was always willing to do for others and help whenever and wherever he was needed.

In addition to his father, O’Neal (Janet) Chavis, survivors include his wife, Amanda Varnadoe Chavis of the home; his children, Nevaeh Chavis, Kaydence Chavis, Parker Chavis II and Xarissa Chavis and his bonus children who he loved dearly, Kami Augustine, Kyra Driggers, Jorgie Estolt, Jazlyn Estolt and Juliana Estolt; 3 brothers, Andy (Melissa) Chavis, Scott (Maureen) Chavis and Zach (Michelle) Chavis; a step-brother, Aaron Fanning; his mother-in-law, Patricia Varnadoe; sisters-in-law, Michelle Varnadoe, Angie Varnadoe and Amy Varnadoe; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
