Jonathan Vickery, publisher/owner of The People-Sentinel, was recognized by Editor & Publisher magazine as part of the next generation of news media professionals.
He is one of 25 news media professionals from across the country to be named to the magazine's annual list of 25 professionals under the age of 35. E&P serves newspapers, broadcast, digital and other forms of news publishing.
"Our 25 Under 35 salute is one of my favorites. I feel, in some way, it showcases our future — one that’s inspired, passionate and innovative, reinvigorated by fresh ideas and talent. "Nobody goes into the journalism field to become rich. Instead, we do this job because we care about keeping our communities informed with factual, unbiased reporting," said Vickery.
