A helicopter was landed at the Barnwell County Sheriff Office's third annual law enforcement expo courtesy of the S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED). Children and adults were welcome to check both the interior and exterior of 'the bird.'
A variety of law enforcement vehicles were on display.
Many vendors were available to discuss their services.
The expo brought out a crowd of families.
Children enjoyed the activities and vendors.

Not only were adults and children able to get a wealth of information at the expo, but they were able to meet local and state law enforcement officers and officials.
Sheriff Steve Griffith's (right) main goal for the expo was to reach the community and provide them with available resources from local and state agencies.
Many activities were available for kids to enjoy.
The Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) hosted numerous law enforcement agencies and service organizations at the third annual law enforcement expo on Saturday, Aug. 12.
A crowd came out to meet local and state officers and take advantage of the abundance of information – meeting Sheriff Steve Griffith’s goal for the event of reaching as many community members as possible.
Not only were there a plethora of local resources, but SRP Federal Credit Union gave away 500 backpacks filled with school supplies in part of a partnership with BCSO.
The S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED) landed a helicopter near the airport which children were then able to explore. Additional food and fun such as hotdogs and cornhole were provided by BCSO.
In previous years, the expo has been recognized and awarded on a national scale for its far-reaching impact into the community.
