Frank Washington celebrates 50 years with Post 0253

U.S. Army veteran Frank Washington was recognized for 50 years of continuous service to American Legion Post 0253 in Blackville.
At the organization’s May meeting, Post Commander David Kenner presented Washington with a certificate honoring his five decades of service.
“It has been an honor to serve my country and alongside American Legion Post 0253 and its members,” said Washington.
The American Legion is a U.S. based veterans organization first established by Congress in 1919. It has nearly 2 million members and over 13,000 posts.
