A Barnwell man was killed this weekend in an Aiken County wreck.
The wreck occurred around 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 on Edgefield Hwy. (Hwy. 19 N.) near Old Friar Rd., approximately 10 miles north of the City of Aiken.
“The driver of a 2015 Freightliner semi tractor-trailer, identified as 38-year-old Larry L. Priester, was pronounced dead on the scene at 8:30 a.m.,” said Aiken County Coroner Darryl M. Ables.
Priester was driving the tractor-trailer north on Edgefield Hwy. when it “went off the right side of the road and overturned near the intersection with Old Friar Road,” said Master Trooper William Bennett with the S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP).
The wreck remains under investigation.
