A Jan. 2 trash pickup coordinated locally through Keep Barnwell County Beautiful was successful.
Williston resident Margo Huggins reported 19 tires and 83 bags of trash or other big items were collected from the streets.
"Thank you all so much for helping us keep Barnwell County beautiful," said Huggins.
She alongside Barnwell County litter control deputy Darlene Sanders, who has been a major help in facilitating these cleanup efforts, hope to hold three events this year equally as successful.
Tentative dates for these events are Saturday, April 15, Saturday, July 15, and Saturday, October 14. All are subject to change.
