Johnny Ferron Paul

AIKEN - Mr. Johnny Ferron Paul, 66, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Johnny was the son of the late Thomas Ferron and Louise Graham Paul. He was born and raised in Elberton, Ga. but had made Aiken his home since 2018. He retired after working many years at Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Ga. He served his community for 8 years as a volunteer fireman with the Beaver Dam Fire Department in Oglethorpe County. Johnny loved music and was a gifted drummer and singer, performing in numerous bands throughout most of his life. He was a wonderful, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.

Johnny was predeceased by a brother, Gary Michael Paul; and grandson, Ja Paul. He is survived by son, Jason Fletcher Paul of Athens, Ga.; daughter, Jennifer Paul Freeman of Martin, Ga.; grandsons, Timothy, Cody, Miles, Ziggy and Sam; granddaughters, Raven, Emily, and Hanna; brothers, Donald (Sandy) Paul of Las Vegas, NV, Elliot (Linda) Paul of Elberton, Ga., and Larry (Tina) Paul of Watkinsville, Ga.; sisters, Jackie (Tom) Ramsey of Barnwell, and Dianne (Ron) Floyd of Aiken.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses, especially Margaret Meyer Grande, RN, in the ICU department at Aiken Regional Hospital for the excellent care Johnny was given during his stay.

A memorial/celebration of life for immediate family will be announced at a later date.

Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home (715 East Pine Log Road, Aiken) is in charge of the arrangements.
