HILDA - Funeral services for Zachariah Barton "Mr. Zack" Fogle of Hilda, S.C. will be at 11 o’clock, a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with Reverend Rommie Martin officiating and Bart Owens giving the eulogy. Burial will follow at Barnwell Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road with Greg Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the funeral home in Williston and other times at the home of Trina and Dean Griffin in Hilda.
Mr. Fogle passed away at home on August 9, 2026.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Timmy Williams, Achille Collins, Craig Martin, Carrol Adams, Blake Morris, Logan Croft, Rolin Morris and Bryson Morris.
Born in Orangeburg County, he was the son of the late Elbert and Gertie Smoak Fogle and was married to the late Louise Croft Owens Fogle. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and later retired from Sara Lee Sock Company and the Town of Hilda Maintenance Department. He loved bird watching, gardening and working in his yard. He was loving father and grandfather and attended Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Trina (Dean) Griffin of Hilda and Shirley Owens of Bamberg; 2 sisters, Frances (Rommie) Martin and Vivian (Gene) Hair; grandchildren, Bart (Stacy) Owens, Angelia (Eddie) Carson, Rebecca (Mike) Beish, Michael (Kimberly) Kinard, Meredith Owens, Greg (Michelle) Black, Kayla (Blake) Hutto and Savanna (Rodney Morris) Griffin; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, Angie (Randy) Morris; a special nephew, Timmy (Brandy) Williams; and a number of other nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased in death by a son, Clinton "BoBo" Owens, and a sister, Elizabeth Ray.
