WINDSOR - Wynez Elizabeth Roe, 79, of Windsor, S.C. passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Clearwater Branch Baptist Church, Aiken, S.C. with the Reverend Steve Woodward officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearwater Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Born in Aiken County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late George Samuel Roe and Myrtis E. Couch Roe. She was a member of Clearwater Branch Baptist Church and received a Financial Bachelor’s Degree in Atlanta. She previously worked for the Georgia Baptist Missionary Association, was on the Missionary Board and was an auditor for the Georgia Baptist Association. She also worked with a number of Reading Programs while with the association. Ms. Roe loved to bake and cook different foods, also enjoyed looking at old coins.
Survivors include a brother, Ralph Roe Sr. of Windsor, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Essie Mae Roe of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews, Tammy (Smith) Nunn of John’s Island, S.C., Ralph “Bubba” (Dee Byrd) Roe Jr. of Windsor, S.C., Jennifer (Brooks) Abney of Aiken, S.C., Rhonda (Chuck) Shaver of Aiken, S.C., Jimmy (Michelle) DuRant of Aiken, S.C., Allen (Julie) DuRant of Aiken, S.C., Chris (Suzie) Roe of Florida, Samantha (Johnny) Ban of Winnsboro, S.C., Kristena Nunn of Charleston, S.C., Kylee Byrd of Windsor, S.C., Caley (David) Crowe of Chapin, S.C., Holden (Allie) Shaver of Greenville, S.C.; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Mae Agner; brothers, George Roe, Paul Edgar Roe Sr. and John David Roe; nephews, David Wayne Roe, Paul Edgar Roe Jr. and Earl Sutton.
