KLINE - Mrs. Rosa Lee Cave was born June 17, 1947, in Barnwell, South Carolina. On July 15, 2026, God fulfilled His plan over her life; her soul left her body while being hospitalized at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

Rosa Lee was the daughter of the late Jack Banks Sr. and the late Carrie Lee Hay Banks. She attended Butler High School. On January 6, 1970, she married The Honorable William Henry Cave. Military life led them to Fort Hood, Texas where they resided for one year, before returning to Barnwell, S.C., making this their home for 56 years. Rosa devoted her life to working in various plants around Barnwell County, including Shuron and Dayco, before retiring from Sara Lee/Hanes Brand.

After transferring her church membership from New Hope UMC to Union UMC, she sang on the choir for a brief period and served as a communion steward.

To their blessed union, William and Rosa were graced with 5 children.

Rosa is preceded in death in addition to her parents; her son, William Cave Jr.; sisters, Williemae Bradley and Peggy Carree; brother, Jack Banks Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Harlym Cagle.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Teresa Ann Cave of Kline, S.C., Patricia Ann Cave-Moore of Barnwell, S.C., Amanda Cave of Barnwell, S.C., and Pamla Arlivia Baughman (Jamie) of Blackville, S.C.; grandchildren: Arlivia Cave-Cagle (Aaron) of Jacksonville, N.C., Christian William Lloyd Padgett (Jessica) of Barnwell, S.C., Haley Makayla Jones (Bryson) of Hartwell, Georgia, and ZyCariah Devoe of Barnwell, S.C.; great-grandchildren: Cassius Singleton, Aaron Cagle Jr. of Jacksonville, N.C., Christian Padgett Jr. of Smoaks, S.C.; siblings: Marshall Banks (Margie) of Barnwell, S.C., Gordon Banks of Daytona Beach, Fla., Willease Carree of Barnwell, S.C., Flossie Banks of Barnwell, S.C., Maggie L. Banks of Barnwell, S.C., Gertrude Tyler (LaVan) of Barnwell, S.C., Mary Banks Davis (Robert) of Kline, S.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends left to cherish her memory.

Services were held Monday, July 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Union United Methodist Church in Kline. Interment followed at Union UMC Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Deandre Banks, Jamie Baughman, Aaron Cagle, Randy Carree, Christian Padgett and LaVan Tyler.
