Rev. Andy and Hazel Sandifer of Blackville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 28, 2025.
The couple was married on December 28, 1975 at Nixville Baptist Church in Nixville, S.C.
Double Pond Baptist Church in Blackville, where Rev. Sandifer serves as pastor, hosted an anniversary celebration for the couple on Sunday, December 28, 2025. They were joined by family and friends. The couple also renewed their vows.
During the celebration, the family commented on a unique fact connecting their wedding day and vow renewal ceremony. The couple was married by Andy’s father, the late Rev. Billy Sandifer, 50 years ago while their son, Rev. Brandon Sandifer, pastor of Hagood Baptist Church in Barnwell, performed the vow renewal ceremony.
“They have always been an example of a Christ-centered marriage to all who know them. They have also been generous together and give of themselves to serve others,” said Brandon Sandifer of his parents.
The Sandifers have two children, Shannon Hutto (Lee) and Brandon Sandifer (Mandy), both of Barnwell. They also have six grandchildren: Carrie Hutto, Peyton Hutto, Nathan Sandifer, Noah Sandifer, Ben Hutto, and Amelia Sandifer, all of Barnwell.
The family thanks the members of Double Pond Baptist Church for decorating and hosting the anniversary celebration.
