Mrs. Gibson remembered for “genteel” nature

Dear Editor,

I was greatly saddened to read of the death of Evie Gibson. It is with great pride that Hildegarde Euphosyne Paxton Roberts, my seventh grade English teacher, would always mention that one of Miss Evie's daughters had majored in Latin (which Hildegarde had taught her).

Miss Eve brings many attributes to mind, but perhaps the adjective that best describes her was genteel. She was a special lady, loved and respected by all who knew her.
