Kansas Alaina Googe of Barnwell, S.C. and Joseph Sanders Bodiford of Barnwell, S.C. were united in marriage on November 2nd, 2024 at The Broxton Venue. Preacher Ronald Franklin of Mount Lebanon Christian Church officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Luther and Kathy Googe.
The bride’s dress was a long elegant fitted gown embellished in ivory appliqués with a slight shimmer in the sunlight. The gown had a long train and long sheer sleeves with continued lace design capturing the sheik style of classic southern elegance.
The bride carried an airy beautiful bouquet of ivory roses complimented with peacock feathers and pampas grass and greenery filler.
Kaley Googe Jones and Grace Googe Gleaton served as matrons of honor.
Gylian Sady Googe served as Maid of Honor.
Bridesmaids were Cassidy Ott, Taylor Akin, Casey Terry, Britney Williams, Olivia Mock, and Macy Baxley.
Chapel May Gleaton served as flower girl.
Kash Jones and Cal Jones served as ring bearers.
Jody Bodiford (groom’s father) was the best man.
Groomsmen were Jacob Bodiford (brother), Wayne Bodiford (brother), Bryan Ott, James Wood, James Jones, Zachary Chavis, Ches Gleaton, and Preston Lavender.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at the same location, The Broxton Venue.
The bride is the daughter of Luther and Kathy Googe of Barnwell. She is a 2019 graduate of Barnwell High School and a 2024 Claflin University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is employed by MUSC Orangeburg.
The groom is the son of Jody and Redeena Bodiford of Barnwell. He is a 2017 graduate of Barnwell High School and is employed by Crabbe Aviation LLC.
Following a luxury and unforgettable wedding trip to St. Lucia Sandals Regency La Toc Resort, the couple resides in Barnwell, S.C.
