DENMARK - Jimmy Byrnes Bodiford, 74, of Denmark, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Born February 14, 1952, Jimmy was the son of the late Horry Bodiford and Junita Ayer Bodiford. He was a hardworking man of great integrity who believed in doing things the right way. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Jimmy faithfully served his country. He was also a member and deacon of Ghents Branch Baptist Church.
When he wasn't working with his hands, Jimmy enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Above all, he will be remembered as a good and godly man whose life reflected hard work, integrity, and devotion to those he loved.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lisa Brunson Bodiford; his children, Arlene Bodiford of Blackville, S.C., Tabitha Michele (Charles) Zorn of Barnwell, S.C., Amanda Fail of Orangeburg, S.C. and Adam (Megan) Fail of Blackville, S.C.; his grandchildren, Dylan (Brittany) Brant, Alaina Brant (Gabe), Christopher (Kristen) Brant, Steven Brant (Brittany), Victoria (Cliff) Creech, Tiffany (Luke) Mahaffey, Kimberly (Hunter) Shahan, Charlie Zorn, Griffin Corley, Sydney Corley (Austin), Abagail Corley, Willie Fail and Karley Fail; the great-grandchildren, Ayden, Kaiden, Reed, Lainey, Myles, Caden, Asher, Keaton, Bexley, Rowan and Blakelyn; his brother, Floyd (Johnnie) Bodiford of Blackville, S.C.; honorary sons-in-law, Chief Brant and Heath Corley; sisters-in-law, Susan (Robert) Godley and Sandra (Anthony) Gleaton; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
