BARNWELL - A funeral service for Mr. James Leon Frazier of Barnwell, South Carolina will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, May 9, 2025 from the New Hope United Methodist Church, 1120 Concord Church Road, Allendale, South Carolina, with burial at Hope Memorial Park (1730 Yale Road, Barnwell, S.C.).
James L. Frazier was born March 19, 1955 in Barnwell County, to the late James Frazier and Ruby Frazier. He was educated in the Barnwell County school system.
James departed this life on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the home of his daughter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby A. Frazier; father, James Frazier; brothers, Robert Lee Frazier and Roger Frazier; and sister, Betty Frazier Heyward.
He is a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Kline, South Carolina, where he served as a member of the trustee board. He was educated in the Barnwell public school system. He was employed at Nutrasweet in Augusta, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Shakeya N. Johnson of Columbia, S.C. and one son, Jared (Brittany) Frazier of Raleigh, N.C.; three grandchildren, Pamela O. Rose Johnson and Payton O. Grace Johnson, Jeremiah Frazier; brothers, George Frazier of Winnsboro, S.C., Terry Frazier of Blackville, S.C., and Jerry (Tonya) Frazier of Griffin, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family of James L. Frazier deeply appreciates your presence, prayers, flowers, cards of sympathy and every act of kindness shown during the illness and since the passing of our loved one. We pray God’s blessings on each of you.
