Barnwell High School will be well represented on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. at El BAB Shrine Club in Barnwell when former classmates gather to renew ole friendships, reminisce about our youth, and express how thankful we all are when recalling our school days. Perhaps, Barnwell of yesteryear was our “Mayberry”. Life in our hometown was safe, happy, and is now definitely much appreciated.
As far as entertainment is concerned, we will enjoy music from the 60’s, finger food/drinks will be furnished; a cash bar will be provided.
Let’s see. Dress will be casual, comfortable. At this stage of the game, there is no need to try and impress anyone, right?
2026 marks the year that BHS class of ’66 celebrates their 6th decade since departing those hallowed halls of Barnwell High. Sounds as if a super 60’s dance party is in the making! Better buff up your shaggin’ shoes for certain!
For more than two decades now, this annual reunion has drawn former classmates back to Barnwell from all parts of this country. Family vacations have been planned as not to clash with this highly anticipated event.
However, one thought still presents one major puzzling question, “Why in this world do classmates residing within the Barnwell County limits still fail to attend this annual reunion?” This is a time for friends to fellowship void of doctors’ appointments or visitations/funerals already occupying much of our calendars.
Please think of it in this manner: if your school picture ever appeared in any one of the Warhorse annuals, or if you ever wrote in any classmate’s yearbook, chances are, they have longed to see you just one more time; to chat with you and recall favorite memories only the two of you shared. Don’t you yet understand just how special you are to others? Such opportunities are rare indeed. You don’t need to miss out, my friend!
Also, those of us who graduated in the 60’s need to realize that we are currently in the fourth quarter of life. But, not to worry, cause we’ve got the ball!
Let’s make the 22nd Super 60’s Reunion our most memorable to date. We will be looking for you on August 8th. Don’t miss it, or we will miss you!
