Barnwell County Councilmen David Kenner (District 2) and Harold Buckmon (District 6) won the June 9 Democratic Primary.
District 2
Incumbent David Kenner has won the Democratic Primary for Barnwell County Council District 2, according to unofficial election results.
Kenner received 280 votes (61.27%), defeating challenger Fonda Patrick, who received 177 votes (38.73%).
With no Republican candidate filing for the seat, Kenner is expected to return to County Council following the November election.
District 6
Incumbent Harold Buckmon has won the Democratic Primary for Barnwell County Council District 6, according to unofficial election results.
Buckmon received 170 votes (54.14%), defeating challenger Annie Bradley Patrick, who received 144 votes (45.86%).
Buckmon now advances to the November 10 General Election, where he will face Republican candidate Steve Carter.
