WILLISTON - Barbara Frost Zeigler, 90, of Williston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Funeral services for Barbara Frost Zeigler of Williston, S.C. will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Williston Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. Beth Yarborough and Reverend Garland Hart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at Barnwell Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road.

Born near the Townville community in Oconee County, South Carolina, Barbara was the daughter of the late Sidney R. Frost and Leon Whitfield Frost. She grew up in Clinton, South Carolina.

As a young woman, Barbara worked as a waitress at a local restaurant, where she met the love of her life, Carroll Clifton Zeigler, who was attending Presbyterian College at the time. The two were married when Carroll was 20 and Barbara was 18, beginning a loving marriage that would span more than 70 years.

Following their marriage, Barbara and Carroll lived for a short time in Orangeburg County before making their home in Williston. They first lived in a garage apartment at Kate Kennedy's home on Springfield Road, later moving to Keith Circle. They then moved to Zeigler Way where they raised their family.

Barbara devoted herself to raising their four children while Carroll worked at the Savannah River Site. Once her children were old enough to attend school, Barbara returned to school herself and later began working as a secretary at Truman Sloan Construction Company in Williston. She subsequently joined the Williston School District, where she served faithfully for many years before retiring as secretary to the superintendent.

Barbara enjoyed gardening and crafts and was a member of the Williston Garden Club. She was also a devoted, lifelong member of Williston Presbyterian Church. Above all, Barbara treasured her family. Her greatest joy came from the life she and Carroll built together and the generations that followed. She was especially proud of her four children, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Carroll Clifton Zeigler; her children, Myron (Cindy) Carroll Zeigler of Fancy Gap, Virginia, Barry (Karen) Keith Zeigler of Williston, L. Faith Zeigler of Williston, Elizabeth “Beth” (Brian) Pillinger of Corpus Christi, Texas; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, George Wesley (Patty) Frost of Blackville and Jimmy (Biolacy) Frost of Columbia; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Memorial contributions may be made to Williston Presbyterian Church (P.O. Box 391, Williston, S.C. 29853).
