BLACKVILLE - Beverly Ann Morris, 69, passed away at her daughter’s home on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
The family will receive friends from 11 o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, until the time of the service at noon in the Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverends Timmy Gunnells, Henry Chavis and Howard Proveaux officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kenny Sharp, Trey Sharp, Rogers Gleaton, Dallas Gleaton, Austin Gleaton and Kenny Davis. Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Collie Gleaton and Jane Elizabeth Chavis Gleaton and was married to George Morris. She was a member of Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Open Arms Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. Ann previously worked at the sewing plant and later retired from Walmart. Ann will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, George Morris of the home; daughter, Melissa (Todd) Strock of Barnwell; sons, David Gunnells of Barnwell, Eugene (Maggie) Morris of Blackville and Timmie (Doll) Morris of Walterboro; sisters, Jeanette Eades of Orangeburg, Shirley (Raymond) Hutto of Neeses; Mortimo (Mary) Gleaton of Aiken; grandchildren Candace (Eldon) Kennedy and Joshua Strock; great-grandchildren Caden Tate Kennedy and Callie Rose Kennedy; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Callie Mae Williamson, Vera Sturkie and Melba Knox; brothers, Tony Gleaton, Marvin Gleaton, James Floyd Gleaton and Willis Gleaton; and a brother-in-law, Harry Eades.
The family would like to say thank you for the cards, prayers, calls, food and thoughtfulness shown to them during the time of the loss of our loved one. A special thank you to Agape Hospice for all the kindness and love shown during our loved one’s sickness.
