COLUMBIA - Selena S. Tomlin, 81, wife of Freddie Massey, passed away at her home on May 18, 2026 after an extended illness.
She was born in Fairfax, S.C. and a daughter of the late M.G. Smith Jr. and Mary Ellen Harter.\
Selena was a graduate of Allendale-Fairfax High School. She was the former owner of her beauty salon and later taught cosmetology in the Allendale County Vocational School for many years.
Selena is survived by her husband, Freddie Massey; two daughters, Tracy K. Palm (Randy) and Shaneki T. Cauble (CJ) and four step-children, Ted Tomlin, Clinch Massey (Lindsay), Gatlin Massey and Betsy Malon (Vince); and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Luke Kinard; and her former husband, Billy E. Tomlin.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Fairfax Cemetery with Pastor CJ Cauble officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
