BARNWELL - Mary Catherine Laughlin, 85, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Mary was born in Covington, KY on January 11, 1941, to the late James B. and Kathryn Brown.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Ralph Walter Laughlin.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ralph Gregory Laughlin and Amelia Laughlin McGinnis; grandchildren Robert Andrew (Gray Hunter) McGinnis, John Hunter Mole, William O’Neal Mole, Richard Finn Mole, Michael Chase Mole, Grayson River Mole, Joshua Michael McGinnis, Catherine Marie Yates (John Emory Van Zant), and Abigail Isadora Smith.
Graveside services will be held at Mother of God Cemetery in Covington, KY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 168 Madison St., Barnwell, S.C. 29812 or Shepherd Community Blood Center, 353 Fabian Drive, Aiken, S.C. 29803.
