BARNWELL - A Celebration of Life Service for LaWanda Lynn Bragg, 55, of Barnwell, S.C. will be held at 12 o’clock noon on Saturday, July 25, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, S.C. with the Reverend Harry Warren officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
LaWanda passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Born in Orangeburg County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Douglas “Mac” Bragg and Wanda Zissette Bragg. She previously worked at BellSouth before she became an Emergency 911 Dispatcher where she worked for 8 years in Allendale County and 7 years in Barnwell County. She then worked at the Orchids Paper Plant until her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her daughter and spending time with her grandsons. Prior to her mother’s passing, LaWanda took wonderful care of her mother. She enjoyed handiwork including needlepoint canvas. She also loved animals and especially her four-legged companion, Sky.
Survivors include her daughter, Lauren (Joshua) Hudson of Barnwell, S.C.; two grandsons, Brantley Tanner Hudson and Mackston Garrett Hudson; her sister, Tanya B. (Bruce) Bolen of Barnwell, S.C.; her brother, Douglas (Tammy) Bragg of Barnwell, S.C.; her best friend, Karen (Chris) Jones; two nieces, Brooke (Brandon) Chavis and Bailee (McKaylin) Bolen; her nephew, Colton Bolen; four great nieces and nephews, Knox, Tessa, Laytyn, and Walker.
