WILLISTON - A graveside service for Laura Mae Flynn, 86, of Williston, will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at the Williston Cemetery with the Reverend Jimmy Hanf officiating.

Laura passed away at home on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, she was a daughter of the late David Zach Adams and Jessie Ann Simmons Adams, and was married to the late Francis Clarence Flynn.

Laura worked with the Barnwell Housing Authority and devoted much of her life to serving others. She was known as a caring and giving person who never had anything bad to say about anyone. Above all, she loved her family and friends dearly and was especially proud of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured spending time with her family and enjoyed gatherings with her close-knit group of friends, Dotty Defreest (Bill), Chris Zawacki, John Zawacki, Judy Anderson (Bill), Norma Jowers, and Joyce and Rich Dabolt.

Laura loved to cook and was happiest when preparing food for the people she loved. Her family will especially remember her Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and the warmth and love she brought to every gathering.

Survivors include her daughters, Sheryl Ann Williams, Irene, Corinne (Joe), and Donna; sons, Wendell (Cathy), Daniel (Judy), Michel (Kelley); son-in-law Jon; 17 grandchildren; and more than 57 great- and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; daughter, Laura Jean; son, David Lee; sister, Jeanie; and brother, Billy.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dotty Defreest, Chris, John and Mackie Powell, Nina Cable, Cindy Ayer, Carla Vause, Jennie and John Sutton, Pam and Kelsie Bolen, Anita Thomas, Willie Lewis, Birdie and John Williams, Alex Campbell and the staff of Trinity Hospice, especially Cat, Jessica and Alaya for the care and kindness shown to Laura and her family.
