ORANGEBURG - James Hoyt Thompson Jr., 77, passed away at his home on June 29th, 2026. He was born in Atlanta, GA on August 10th, 1948 to the late Irene Johnson Thompson and James Hoyt Thompson Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Brandt Thompson of Orangeburg, S.C.; daughter, Elizabeth C. Thompson of Naples, FL; and cousin, Angela Graham of Spartanburg, S.C.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Annie Thompson; and stepsister, Carmen McDonald.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Kline Cemetery, with Rev. Judson Barnes officiating.
