BARNWELL COUNTY - Euell Scott "Scotty" Crouch passed away peacefully August 29th, surrounded by his loved ones.

Scotty was born in Orangeburg, S.C. in 1946 and raised in Barnwell, S.C. by his predeceased parents, Norman Ray Crouch Sr. and Evangeline “Vangie” Carter Crouch.

After graduation from Barnwell High School in 1965, Scotty served our nation as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He went on to become a Master Plumber owning his own plumbing business. He spent his retirement years in his hometown area with his beloved four-legged critters.

Scotty was a loving oldest brother, he leaves his legacy to his siblings, Ray (Janine) Crouch, Eddie (Wanda) Crouch, Nina (Fred) Greene, and Annette Jones (Dave Dickey); and dear friend, Susan James.

Scotty was a wonderful caring uncle to his five nieces and nephews and their families.

We all looked up to Scotty, admired his love of reading (and coffee) and are grateful for his advice and quick wit (which he always had) and his example of patience, never too busy for his family.

His passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot express, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. We are grateful for the life he lived, the lessons he taught us, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

Rest in peace, big brother, you will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
