Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Askew of Port Huron, Michigan are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Cassidy Jordan Askew, to Lance Carlisle Kinard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kinard of Barnwell.
The bride-elect is a 2020 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School. She graduated in 2024 from Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at Charleston Southern University.
Cassidy is the granddaughter of Mrs. Janet Posey and the late Reverend Larry Posey of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Wayne Askew of Stephens City, Virginia, and Anita Askew of Wewahitchka, Florida.
The groom-elect is a 2015 graduate of Barnwell High School. He is a 2018 graduate of Greenville Technical College with an associate’s degree in Architectural Engineering Technology and a 2021 graduate of Charleston Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He is currently employed by Boeing South Carolina.
Lance is the grandson of the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie Robert Carroll of Blackville, and Mrs. Geneva Kinard and the late Carlisle Kinard of Brunson.
The wedding is planned for November 9, 2025 in Charleston, South Carolina. Formal invitations will be sent.
